Brief Introduction
304 stainless steel is a general-purpose austenitic stainless steel, also known as 18/8 stainless steel (due to its content of approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel). It is one of the most commonly used and classic stainless steel grades due to its excellent corrosion resistance, good machinability, and aesthetically pleasing surface.
Because of its excellent overall performance, 304 stainless steel is ubiquitous, widely used in kitchenware and home appliances, automotive parts, exhaust pipes, and other fields. 304 is typically non-magnetic or only weakly magnetic. It achieves a perfect balance between corrosion resistance, machinability, strength, and cost.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the primary advantages of 304 stainless steel?
304 stainless steel offers an excellent balance of corrosion resistance, machinability, and strength. It is highly versatile and cost-effective for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications.
What surface finishes do you provide?
We mainly provide 2B and BA finishes. We also offer high-precision mirror 8K finishes for decorative and specialized applications.
Can I request a sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes, samples are provided free of charge. However, express delivery charges are typically borne by the customer.
What is the typical lead time for delivery?
For stock items, delivery can be arranged within 1-7 days. For custom production or larger orders, the lead time is usually between 7-15 days.
What are the common applications for your stainless steel strips?
Our products are widely used in IT, medical instruments, automotive parts (exhaust pipes), household appliances, elevators, and general industrial pipe/tube making.
Is the 304 stainless steel magnetic?
Standard 304 stainless steel is austenitic and typically non-magnetic or only weakly magnetic. However, cold working can sometimes induce a small degree of magnetism.
